Koyaanisqatsi II -- A Road Trip
page 5

After ice cream at Foster's Freeze it was a decision of WHAT TO DO? Neither of us wanted to do a lot of gambling, and it wasn't so much fun on your own -- since somebody had to stay with Lucy. We tried to figure out something all of us could do -- besides roaming Circus Circus. There was a Giant Water Slide/wave pool complex on the strip but at $20 per person we skipped it. We opted for hanging out at the pool since it was too hot to do anything else. We went to dinner at the Sahara -- another buffet but a much more relaxed experience than before -- then back to our room. Lucy went to bed and we went out for a while to gamble. We told Lucy she would be safe, and how the hotel phone worked if there was an emergency. We waited for her to fall asleep then we were off. We came back to check on her around 11:00 and then Jason went out on his own for a while, leaving Barbara wondering if this whole thing been a good idea or not. Of course, Jason came back soon and then we went out on the town. We cruised past the 75¢ Heineken casino where the U2 video was shot and then settled into Circus Circus casino which had settled down by miles, since all the people staying there had kids with them and they'd all gone to bed. We passed an Italian wedding party having their official Vegas Wedding photos done. The bride was about 7 months along. We mastered Video Poker on bar tops, multi-coin slots, how to get free drinks while gambling, and roulette vibes. We both probably lost more money than we had planned to, but that's all a part of a Las Vegas vacation.

Towers of concrete, hellish go-round was there when I awoke
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
All alone at the end of an evening, all the bright lights have faded to blue
Down to the nightclub - Bump-de-bump-de-bump!
All you have to do is win
